About Bar Prep Institute

We publish one treatise per tested subject for candidates preparing for the Uniform Bar Examination — ten volumes, 1,738 pages, delivered digitally.

What we publish

The Bar Exam Library is ten separate volumes, one for each subject tested on the Uniform Bar Examination, totalling 1,738 pages across 203 chapters. Each volume is complete on its own: it covers the subject from its first principles to the topics that appear late in an exam question, in the order the law itself applies.

We publish separate volumes rather than one compendium because bar candidates study by subject and are examined by subject. A single bound volume forces every subject to be sampled; ten volumes let a subject be finished.

How the volumes are written

  • Organised in the sequence the law is applied — the Federal Rules in rule order, the negligence elements in order, formation before remedies.
  • Written against the primary sources tested: the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Evidence, UCC Article 2, and the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct.
  • Every chapter states the framework before the details, because that is the form an exam answer takes.
  • Reviewed for the 2026 testing cycle, with the exceptions and defences kept in separate chapters from the rules they modify.

What we do not claim

No study material can guarantee a result. The volumes are reference and study texts; passing depends on how they are used, particularly on how much practice writing and how many timed questions a candidate completes. We publish no pass-rate claims and make no representation about any jurisdiction's grading.

Bar Prep Institute is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the National Conference of Bar Examiners or any state board of bar examiners.
